Abstract

Tents. - A folding framework for a garden or other tent consists of four uprights B, Figs. 1 and 3, connected on three sides by bars C, pivoted at A, G, and extension bars D pivoted at E, F. The bars D extend beyond the pivot E and are provided with turned - over lips H, or the two bars may be secured together by pins. The rods I, J forming the roof are fixed to the uprights by screws and finials L, K, the roof rods being preferably hinged to the latter. When folded up, the ends of the bars follow the dotted lines shown in Fig. 1. Large tents are formed in sections joined together, or in separate sections united during erection.
