Abstract

448,529. Tents. REDPATH, W., 68, Ladbroke Grove, London. Jan. 23, 1935, No. 2224. [Class 20 (i)] A collapsable tent or like structure which comprises end and intermediate arched frame members interconnected by a collapsing ridgemember, has the ridge-member adapted to fold in a horizontal plane for collapse. The end and intermediate arches A and B, respectively, are connected by lattice structures G adapted to collapse in a horizontal plane and which are retained in expanded positions by locking bars H. Bars D, D<1> or frames E, E<1> which connect the lower side members of the arched frames are adapted to fold inwardly of the tent structure when collapsed so as to clear the tent covering. These bars or frames are held in extended position by latches F or locking sleeves C<2> . The side covering portions of the tent may be separate from the roof portion and be suspended therefrom, and windows of oiled canvas may be used in the covering.
