Abstract
156,413. Smith & Co., Ltd., J., and Smith, F. G. Jan. 9, 1920. Portable buildings; tents.-A collapsable folding shelter for motor-vehicles &c. consists of two end arched tubular frames a, b braced by cross tubes d, e, g and a central solid or tubular frame c the lower ends of which hook over the tubes g. The tubes e, g each consist of two members pivoted together at the flattened ends e<1>, g<1>, and the tubes e are held rigid by means of a removable pin e<2>. The tubes e, g are screwed into T-pieces f, d', mounted loosely on the tubes a, b, d. The framework, when erected, is 'braced by stays i pivoted to the tubes g and removably connected to the tubes a, b, and is loosely covered with canvas &c. h. On removing the stays i from the tubes a, b the whole framework can be collapsed flat.
