Abstract

1,077,779. Thermocopying apparatus. G. RITZERFIELD. April 26, 1966 [May 18, 1965], No. 18160/66. Heading G2A. A thermocopying apparatus comprises a rotatable glass cylinder 11, within which is the heat-radiation source 20 and a reflector 19. The original and copy sheets are fed in through a slot 21, and pass between cylinder 11 and a counter roller 10, the pressure between the two being adjustable. Air is forced from a blower 26 into a duct 27 which guides the air in a direction parallel to the cylinder axis. In the arrangement of Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) the air, which may itself be cooled, is guided by the duct (28) to enter the reflector 19 from each end, the duct having a series of outlet nozzles 29 which direct the air against the inner surface of cylinder (11). The blower automatically comes into operation on full power when the radiant heat source is switched off, and operates either at reduced power or not at all when the heat source is on.
