Abstract

1,241,421. Photographic heat developing apparatus. SCOTT PAPER CO. Oct. 2, 1968 [Nov. 6, 1967], No.46812/68. Heading G2A. The apparatus includes a developing chamber through which sheet material (21) Fig. 4 (not shown) is fed by roll pairs 40, 42 and 60, 62; thermostatically controlled radiant heaters 88 within the chamber for uniformly heating and developing a sheet (21); and an air-flow system which causes air to flow evenly over both surfaces of a sheet (21) and entrain chemical components driven thereform by the heating, which components are removed from the chamber through ducts 102, 104. These ducts are connected to an exhaust fan and have adjustable intake slots 112, 114. The air is supplied to the chamber through ducts 90-93 each having one row of air intake apertures 94 and two rows of air outlet apertures (95). After developing, the sheet (21) is fed by rolls 60, 62 to a guide 66 and thence to a tray 64. (For Figure see next page)
