Abstract

1415863 Drying sheets AGFA-GEVAERT AG 30 Oct 1972 [28 Oct 1971 19 April 1972] 49893/72 Heading F4G [Also in Division G3] A sheet 114 is dried by a turbulent flow of hot air from slot-like nozzles 115, 116 situated adjacent the entrance to the drying chamber and close to the sheet. The sheet exits between rollers 109a-109d, 111a-111d spaced along their respective shafts 108, 110 to provide an exit for the air. The air is heated by electric heaters (120) thermostatically controlled by temperature dependent resistances (121) connected in bridge circuits (Fig. 6, not shown). The heating elements and temperature sensors are carried on insulating supports 118, 119 situated in the nozzles 115, 116.
