Abstract

A jet for a non-aerated gas burner comprises main orifices 2, and auxiliary orifices 3 disposed beneath deflectors 6 formed by semi-circular flanges, Fig. 2 (not shown), the flanges serving to shield the bases of the auxiliary flames from the flow of combustion air to the main flame and also to deflect the auxiliary flames away from the main flame before they are drawn into the base of the main flame by incoming combustion air, Fig. 3 (not shown). A flat flame is produced by gas issuing from the main orifices into a channel 5 formed diametrically of the jet. The jet is secured to the top of a hollow burner body to complete the burner.
