Abstract

1,076,257. Flexible tube pumps. MARSHALL & BLACKMAN ENGINEERING Ltd. Aug.13, 1964 [Aug. 14, 1963], No. 32180/63. Heading F1F. To interrupt the flow of pumping medium through a flexible tube pump when the pump is inoperative, a carrier member 7 supporting a flexible tube 6 is in turn resiliently supported by springs 12 on a support member 9 adjustable in an axial direction by bolts 10. As a disc 3 carrying rollers 4 is driven by an electric motor rotates the member 7 is caused to rock and when the pump stops, one of the rollers at least, will always be in a position to interrupt the flow of the fluid being pumped.
