Abstract

In a drum-tedder, of the kind wherein a tined rotor is driven so that its tines move forwardly over the ground and carry the crop upwardly and rearwardly beneath a baffle for rearward discharge in a window between crop-guides fixed to the rear of the baffle, the guides each comprise a first part (64) forming an extension of the baffle and a second part (67) extending obliquely downwardly towards the centreline of the machine, these two parts being interconnected by a vertical wall (66) so that a funnel-like guide is formed. The tedder is trailed and rests on vertically-adjustable lockable swivel-wheels (53, 54) one on each end of the rotor-housing (61). Drive to the rotor is transmitted from the towing tractor through a gearbox (44) and thence through a hollow frame-beam (46) to a chain-casing (48) at one end of the rotor-housing.
