Abstract

The machine has a frame and a toothed reciprocating beam extending at right angles to the direction of travel. Under the beam (65) is a plate, extending in its lengthwise direction and mounted at a distance from it. This plate (67) rests at least for part of its area on the ground when working. The plate can extend for the entire length of the beam and beyond it at the rear of the machine, also sloping downwards and to the rear from its forward end. The teeth (66) can pass through apertures in the plate, which can be spring-loaded downwards, working in guides at the ends allowing it to move up and down.
