Abstract

107,345. Kilburn, B. E. D., (Sulzer frÞres Soc. Anon.). Jan. 2, 1917. Tars, distilling.-In apparatus for the distillation of tar, passing continuously through drums 2, 3, the vapours in the pitch outlet 8, 9, 10 are sucked up the pipe 12 of an ejector 13 worked by a fan 14, and are condensed in a pipe 13<a> and run into a tank 15. The draught through the furnace 4 may be increased by providing one or more ejectors 17 in the chimney 7.
