Abstract

1,072,980. Reciprocating pumps. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. March 29, 1966 [March 30, 1965], No. 13704/66. Heading F1A. A piston 23 is reciprocated in one direction by a plunger 13 actuated by a lever 5 and in the other direction by a spring 25. The piston operates in a cylinder formed in a member 7 screwed into the housing 2 and partly surrounds an inlet valve cage 27 held in place by the spring 25. A valve 21 is supported in the plunger 13 and seats on the head of the piston 23. Discharge to the outlet 34 takes place on each stroke until the spring 25 cannot operate the piston against the pressure head. The outlet 34 is at an angle not greater than 60‹ to the axis of the piston. The pump may be manually actuated by removing a rubber cap 11 and inserting a tool e.g. a screwdriver in the notch 37.
