Apparatus for spreading powdered or granular fertilizers is provided with a bowl 2 which is angularly reciprocated on a vertical shaft 3 which also carries an agitator comprising a conical disc 8 and a sleeve 15 which terminates close to an opening 16 in two discs 9, 10 each provided with openings 13, 14, the disc 10 being angularly adjustable relative to the disc 9.
