[Also in Division E1] A pitched roof comprises rafters 1 supporting laminated panels 2, 3 interlocking by means of grooves 6, 9 of unequal width to form an offset joint. Each panel comprises inner and outer layers 4 of hardboard, a layer 5 of expanded polystyrene set back to form the wide groove 6, and a wooden insert 8 rebated to form the narrow groove 9. The joint may be sealed with mastic.
