Abstract

1,059,275. Building panels. KALWALL CORPORATION. June 9, 1964 [Nov. 22, 1963], No. 23948/64. Heading E1B. A building panel comprising translucent or other sheets 11 secured to both sides of a core formed of longitudinal and transverse I-section members is closed at at least one end, after the panel has been cut to size and shape on site, by an overlapping metal or plastics strip 21 carrying inserts 22 which fit between the core members and which support the edges of the sheets 11. The inserts 22 may be secured to the sheets by adhesive, and weather-sealing adhesive tape of polyvinylfluoride may cover the joints between the sheets 11 and strip 21. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 860,199.
