Abstract

A composition of a thermoplastic copolymer of ethylene and a vinyl ester or an acrylate monomer, containing 50 to 400% of filler, is irradiated with electrons having an average energy of from 5 x 104 to 2 x 107 electron volts to a dosage of from 2 to 100 megaroentgens. Specified fillers are carbon black, silica, metal silicates, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, Ca and Mg carbonates, boron oxide and carbides.
