Abstract

A substantially homogeneous composition comprising an oxymethylene polymer and from 25 to 90 weight per cent of a thermoplastic vinyl or vinylidene polymer. The oxymethylene polymer may be a copolymer of formaldehyde with a cyclic ether, lactone, cyclic carbonate, cyclic acid anhydride or an ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The thermoplastic vinyl or vinylidene polymer may be polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, coumaroneindene resins, rubber, styrene-butadiene copolymers, polyacrylates and polymethacrylates. The example relates to a composition containing a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, a copolymer of trioxane and 1,3-dioxolane, together with conventional binders, plasticizers and fillers.
