Abstract

1,070,886. Counters. VEEDER INDUSTRIES Inc. April 30, 1965 [May 5, 1964], No. 18311/65. Heading G4D. A numeral wheel is mounted freely on a shaft (not shown), so that when the shaft is moved in the one direction drive gear pawl 105 is pressed by spring 156 into engagement with an associated drive gear 90, whereas when the shaft is moved in the opposite direction pawl 105 is rendered ineffective and reset gear pawl 104 is cammed upwards to engage plunger 138 with reset gear 70. Rotation of the shaft restores the numeral wheel to zero position, at which point pawl 104 falls into a slot and rotation ceases.
