Abstract
3 - Methyl - 2 - benzthiazolone - 41 - carboxyphenyl - sulphonylhydrazone, piperidino - p-carboxyphenyl - sulphonyl - 3 : 4 - dimethoxy - benzamidrazone and 10 - methyl - 9 - acridone-41 - carboxyphenylsulphonyl - hydrazone are made by reacting 4-(hydrazino-sulphonyl)-benzoic acid with 1-methyl-2-methyl-thio-benzthiazolium methyl-sulphate, 1-a -methyl-thio- 3 : 4 - dimethoxybenzylidenepiperidinium iodide and 9-methylthio-10-methylacridinium iodide respectively. 1 : 4 - Dimethyl - 2 - quinolone - 31 - carboxy-41 - hydroxyphenylsulphonylhydrazone, 3-methyl - 2 - benzthiazolone - 31 - carboxy - 41-hydroxyphenylsulphonylhydrazone and 1-methyl-2 - phenyl - 4 - quinolone - 31 - carboxy - 41-hydroxyphenylsulphonylhydrazone are made by reacting 4-hydroxy-3-carboxy-phenylsulphonylhydrazide with 1 : 4-dimethyl-2-methylthioquinolinium iodide, 1 - methyl - 2 - methylthiobenzthiazolium methylsulphate and 1-methyl - 2 - phenyl - 4 - chloro - quinolinium methylsulphate respectively. 3 - Carboxymethyl - 2 - benzthiazolonemethylsulphonylhydrazone is made by reacting methylsulphonylhydrazide with 2-methylthio-3-carboxymethylbenzthiazolium bromide prepared by quaternizing 2-methylthiobenzthiazole with bromoacetic acid. 3 - Methyl - 2 - benzthiazolone - 41 - sulphophenylsulphonylhydrazone is made by hydrolysing 3 - methyl - 2 - benzthiazole - 41 - fluorosulphonylphenylsulphonylhydrazone obtained by reacting 3 - methyl - 2 - benzthiazolonehydrazone with 4-fluorosulphonyl-benzene sulphonyl chloride. 1 - Methyl - 2 - phenyl - 4 - chloro - quinolinium methylsulphate is made by quaternation of 2-phenyl-4-chloro-quinoline obtained by heating phosphorus oxychloride with 2-phenyl-4-quinolinol prepared by heating b -phenylamino ethyl cinnamate made by reaction of ethyl benzoylacetate and aniline. 4 - Hydroxy - 3 - carboxyphenylsulphonylhydrazide is made by reacting 4-hydroxy-3-carboxy-phenylsulphonyl chloride with hydrazine. N - (41 - Cetylaminosulphonyl) - phenyl - 1 - hydroxy - 2 - naphthamide is prepared by heating 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid phenyl ester with sulphanilyl-N-cetylamide obtained by hydrolysing acetylsulphanilyl-N-cetylamide made by reacting acetylsulphanilic acid chloride and cetylamine.
