Abstract

1,067,984. Pressure-resisting doors. METALLWORK A.-G. BUCHS. Feb. 15, 1966 [Feb. 15, 1965], No. 6627/66. Heading F2P. The outwardly projecting edge 1 of the hatchway of a silo is covered by a wing 3 hinged on a joint 2 and corresponding to the curvature of the silo wall and supported by a member 4 which contacts the edge 1 through a packing 5. A yoke 6 pivotable on a bolt 7 connected to the parts 3, 4 is pressed against the silo wall by a hand wheel 8; the yoke is pivoted on the bolt to allow opening of the wing 2 and is secured in the locking position shown by a lug 9 on the silo and passing through an aperture in the yoke.
