Abstract

A heat-resisting steel has the following percentage composition:- .Cr.12-22 .Ni.32-42 .C.up to 0.6 .Si.0.26-2 .Mn.4-20 .Mo.up to 0.5 .S.up to 0.05 .P.up to 0.05 .Fe.the balance When the C content is more than 0.2, the Mn is at least 6. The steel may be used to produce cast, wrought or welded articles or be in the form of a weld deposit.
