Abstract

[Also in Division H2] Means for mounting electric switches, socket outlets and the like on plaster-board walls comprises a steel strap (1) for insertion through a hole made in the plaster-board, having two rectangular slots (2) opening into its edge, and two insulated threaded bushes (3) adapted to be inserted into the rectangular slots from their open ends, and so shaped that they cannot be pulled out by axial pull. The strap is secured in position by screws threaded into the insulating bushes. The dimensions of the slots permit the bushes to slide within limits to provide adjustable fixing centres. The insulating bushes may be made cylindrical with rectangular portions at each end.
