Abstract

1,062,797. Suction cleaners. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. Sept. 2, 1964 [Sept. 2, 1963], No. 35937/64. Heading A4F. A suction cleaner comprises two suction fans 16, 17 mounted in separate chambers at opposite ends of a common driving motor 15, dust laden air drawn in at the suction nozzle 14 by the fan 17 being passed through a duct 20 to the fan 16 which passes it to a dust bag 12. The illustrated cleaner is of the hand held type and has an elongated handle, the duct 20 also serving as a carrying handle. In another construction (Fig. 1, not shown) the duct connecting the fan chambers is of helical form and air passing therethrough cools the motor casing. A further embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown) is mounted on wheels and has a driving motor (25) arranged with its rotor shaft at right angles to the elongated operating handle (23) of the cleaner.
