Abstract

106,136. Hinsen, W. May 10, 1916. Hope railways.-The running rope or track of an elevated rope railway, in which the vehicles are driven by any means of propulsion and having the rope carried by hangers suspended from girders attached to towers, has the cable 14 secured at intervals to grooved brackets 13 provided with integral balls 11 which rest in divided sockets 12 mounted in longitudinal grooves on the horizontal portions of the hangers 10. The sockets 12 are provided with upstanding shoulders to engage with the brackets 13 so as to limit the motion.
