Abstract

1,060,857. Fraud preventing; offset printing apparatus. CARVAJAL & CIA. Oct. 5, 1963 No. 39326/63. Headings B6A and B6C. Cheques, receipts, raffle tickets, or the like comprising a detachable portion and a counterfoil or stub are overprinted with an identification pattern extending across the cheque which changes in position and colour from cheque to cheque. The cheques are printed by offset printing apparatus comprising a printing cylinder 1, rubber-blanketed cylinder 2 and impression cylinder 4. The identification pattern is engraved on a smaller printing cylinder 5 also co-operating with the cylinder 2. The printing cylinders are inked by separate inking means 3, 6. The colour of the ink supplied to inking means 6 is changed gradually.
