An oil burner comprises an air regulator disposed in an air casing (1) and formed by a perforated drum (16) and a slide (17), and a stabilizer (5) comprising two cylindrical apertured envelopes (41, 44), the front annular wall (40) of the stabilizer having passages (45<SP>1</SP>) which are supplied with air from the air casing 1 by tubes (50) extending between the apertured annular back wall (39) of the stabilizer and an intermediate apertured wall (51). The air is whirled by vanes (48) in the air regulator and shields (43, 46) in the stabilizer.
