Abstract

1,058,808. Winding webs. ELEKTROMAT VEB. July 10. 1965. No. 29345/65. Heading B6B. The web-roll spindle 2 of a capacitor winding machine is supported at one end by bearings in the indexing head 1 and at the other end by an axially movable counter bearing 4 mounted on a cantilever arm 5 attached to the indexing head. The counter bearing is urged towards the indexing head by a spring 14, Fig. 2 (not shown) extending between two pins 13, one pin attached to the bearing support shaft 9 and the other attached to the head 6 of the cantilever arm 5. Movement of the counter bearing is governed by a cam follower roller 11 engaging a cam 12 attached to the machine, and also the angular position of the indexing head 1. The cantilever arm 5 is at the same radius from the centre of the indexing head 1 as the spindle 2 and trails behind the spindle in respect of the rotation of the indexing head. A rotatable sleeve 7 is is provided on the arm 5 to guide the web when necessary. Fig. 3 (not shown).
