Abstract

1,058,361. Clocks and watches. GLASHUTTER UHRENBETRIEBE, VEB. April 15, 1964, No.15560/64. Heading G3T. A timepiece balance 5 is impulsed by a lever 1 actuated by an engaging return lever 7. An end of the lever 1 on that side of its pivot remote from a forked end which engages an impulse pin 6, has fixed thereto one end of a bowed spring 2. The other end of the spring is fixed to a rotationally adjustable member 3. The spring 2 thus moves through a labile position, and this position divides the oscillation angle of the lever into a smaller release angle and a larger driving angle. An adjustable stop 4 defines one extreme position. In the other extreme position a drive means for lever 7 is energized to return the lever 1. It is stated that spring 2 may be replaced by an adjustable permanent magnet or a mechanically tensioned device other than the spring shown.
