Abstract

1,057,552. Rotary distributors. HUPP CORPORATION. July 22, 1963, No. 28984/63. Heading H2B. [Also in Divisions F1 and F4] The circuit interrupter for the electrical supply to a spark plug causing the combustion of fuel in fluid fuel burning apparatus comprises a rotor shown in Figs. 6 and 8. The rotor comprises an insulating core 152 with a copper or like metal cylindrical sleeve 150 which includes electrically isolated inserts 154 and 156, extending approximately half the length of the rotor assembly and each of which extends over an arc of about 60 degrees around the rotor. Two brushes are in contact with the rotor, one with the continuous portion and one with the same portion and the insulated portions alternately during rotation of the rotor, one of these brushes being connected to the circuit and one to earth.
