Abstract

An anti-anaemic medicament activiating the metabolic oxidation of carbohydrates in the tissues has as its active principle hydroxocobalamin pyruvate in admixture with one or several hydroxocobalamin salts resulting from the salification of hydroxocobalamin with organic acids taking part in the krebs citric acid cycle. Specified salts are the malate, succinate and citrate. Hydroxocobalamin aspartate may be added to the admixture. The medicament may be utilized in the form of injectable or drinkable solutions, tablets, capsules, suppositories or ointments.
