Abstract

The hydrazide of the formula <FORM:1056098/C2/1> is prepared by condensing isonicotinic acid hydrazide with dihydroxyacetone, optionally in the presence of a small proportion of a strong reducing agent. Pharmaceutical compositions having tuberculostatic activity comprise the hydrazide above and a carrier therefor. The compositions may be in forms suitable for enteral or parenteral administration.
