Abstract

1,055,265. Moulded plastic buildings. J. W. DAVIDSON and C. R. BROOKS and GREATER LONDON COUNCIL. Aug. 7, 1963 [Aug. 7, 1962], No. 30264/62. Heading' E1A. A building unit consists of a number of reinforced plastic panels 3, 6, 7, 8, Fig. 1, provided with interlocking means 1 and sealing means at their contacting edges. Each panel, Fig. 4, may consist of polyurethane form 22 which is reinforced by polyvinyl-chloride tubes 1 and coverings of fibre-glass 26, neoprene 23 and an insulating layer 25 arranged as shown. One unit may define a bathroom and kitchen with the bath, W.C. and hand basin moulded integral therewith, see Fig. 3 (not shown). Two units may be utilized to define a double bedroom with integrally moulded wardrobes. The floor may be made from rigid plastic sheet perforated to receive electric underflow heating means, see Fig. 2 (not shown). The unit may constitute a "Motel", bus shelter or holiday chalet.
