Abstract
1,053,595. Discharging vehicles; discharging material from hopper bottoms. GEORGE WHITTAKER & SONS (KNUTSFORD) Ltd., [trading as CRANFORD ENGINEERING CO.]. Aug. 25, 1965 [Sept. 18, 1964], No. 38125/64. Headings B8E and B8S. A bulk unloading body comprises a hopper 11, Fig. 1, the bottom of which is closed by an endless conveyer belt 15 adapted to unload the hopper through an exit port 18 and extending over rollers 16, 17, the roller 16 being driven and a tensioning roller 19 being provided which is vertically adjustable. The hopper is supported on a wheeled chassis 10. The roller 19 is rotatably mounted on an axle 20, Fig. 2 (not shown), carried by arms 21 which are adjusted by screw means 22.
