Locking nuts.-The nut 3 securing the detachable hub 2 to the permanent hub 1 is locked bv a split ring 5 milled to engage the corresponding inner surface of the flange 8 on the hub 2. One end of the locking segment 5 is fixed to the nut, as by studs 6, so that any tendency of the nut to unscrew acts to expand the segment into tighter locking engagement.
