Abstract

A yarn feeding mechanism for a circular multifeed knitting-machine comprises two belts 10, 11 driven about a series of rollers 2, and guides 14 feeding yarn between the belts. At some rollers, the yarn may be alternatively friction fed around a surface 16 Fig. 2 (not shown) of the rollers projecting above the tapes. Belt 11 is tensioned by rollers 5 and rollers 2 are movable towards the axis of the machine to facilitate introduction of the yarns between the belts.
