698,627. Knitting-machines. KIRKLAND & CO., Ltd., A., PERKINS, C. W., and PAYNE, C. C. Oct. 8, 1951. [Oct. 9, 1950] No. 24553/50. Class 74 (ii). A device for feeding an elastic yarn to a knitting-machine comprises rotatable pulleys 20, 21, 22 around which the yarn passes to enable it to be fed to the machine and which draw the yarn through a cymbal-type tensioning device 12, 13. Each pulley has a number of grooves of different diameter so that the rate of feed may be varied.
