104,899. Blichfeldt, S. H. March 17, 1916. Butter substitutes.-An aqueous extract of linseed or the cortex of linseed is used for emulsifying fat in the production of margarine. The water used in making the extract may be slightly alkaline. Specifications 19344/13, 23653/13, 25265/13, and 18048/14, [Class 81 (i), Disinfecting &c.] are referred to.
