HAIR-OINTMENT.

To (ZZZ whomit may concern: Be it known that I, STEPHEN D. Gop'cH, a citizen of the United States, residlng at Seattle, in the county of King and State of Washington, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Hair-Omtments; and I do hereby declare the followlng to be a full, clear, and exact descriptlon of the invention, such as Willenable others skllled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same. I
This invention relates to salve's, and more particularly to a salve specially adapted for use as a hair tonic.
The primary object of the invention is to provide a salve or ointment which is specially adapted for softening the scalp and strengthening the hair roots so as to encourage growth of the hair. I have found that a salve well adapted for this purpose may be made by combining turpentine, wood alcohol, beeswax, lard,and carbolic acid in proper proportions. In making this salve, I employthe above stated ingredients in approximately the proportions given in the following example Carbolic acid 5 parts.
