A vehicle has a concave or convex roof surface 13 extending over a part only of the roof and a plastics cap 15 having a concave upper surface is secured by adhesive to an edge part 22 of the roof. The part 22 may be formed as the side walls of an upwardly pressed-out part of the roof or as separate pressed-out lugs. A central rib may also be provided in the roof and cap and the spaces between the parts filled with a foamed plastic.
