1302853 Car boot and luggage combination G D GILLING-SMITH 18 March 1970 [19 Dec 1968] 60278/68 Heading B7B [Also in Division B8] A car having an irregular shaped boot or luggage compartment is combined with a set of rigid luggage containers, each of plastics material such as expanded polystyrene, with part of its outer surface moulded to the shape of part of the boot or compartment so that the set substantially fills the boot or compartment. At least one of the containers may have separate carrying means comprising wrap-around straps 23, 24 attached to a handle 25. Tongues 22 on the upper portion of the container engage with and lock into slots 21 in the lower portion.
