Abstract

1311617 Plastics containers LINPAC PLASTICS Ltd 8 April 1971 9118/71 Heading B8P A plastics container comprises a receptacle and a hinged or separate lid and is characterized by the receptacle having a hollow upstanding ridge 3 and an uniplanar peripheral rim flange 4. The ridge 3 may be bowed outwardly along one or more of the far sides of the receptacle to increase the tightness of the fit between the receptacle and lid. In the embodiment shown the portion of the ridge 3 on the side of the container opposed to the side hinged to the lid is bowed. When the lid is separate the ridge portions on any pair of opposed sides are bowed. The lid includes an outwardly extending peripheral flange 5 which when the container is closed abuts the flange 4. The receptacle may be compartmented.
