Abstract

1390358 Container closures UNITED GLASS Ltd 4 July 1972 [14 April 1971] 9373/71 Heading B8T A closure has a ring 4, which snaps over the beaded rim of a container, and a plug 5 hinged at 6 to the ring and initially joined to the ring on the remainder of its circumference by a weakened part (8), Fig. 2 (not shown), formed on the top of the closure. A tab 7 enables the closure to be broken along the weakened part (8) which may be formed as a score line or as a series of bridges. The closure may be used with a plastics or a glass container, Figs. 4-6 and 10-11 respectively (not shown).
