Abstract

1,230,894. Vehicle windows. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. 1 Oct., 1969 [4 Oct., 1968], No. 48331/69. Heading E1R. In a vehicle window in which the light 1 is secured to the surround 3, 4, 5 of a window aperture in the body of a motor vehicle by a strip or ribbon 6 of adhesive, an internal masking strip 7 and an external trim-strip 8 extending around the periphery of the light 1 are each provided with an undercut part 9, 10 respectively forced into the adhesive before termination of curing or vulcanization of the adhesive 6 to secure the strips in position. The trim strip 8 is preferably attached to the light 1 by a strip 11 of foam plastics which is adhesive on both sides.
