1,017,930. Glazing mounting strips. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. April 29, 1964, No. 17837/64. Heading E1R. In a glazing strip having a channel 9 for mounting a window pane accommodated in a channel 10 in a vehicle &c window aperture, the channel 10 is made at least in part of two layers, e.g. the body 8 and and softer layer 11 contacting the glass, of rubber or synthetic plastic material of different resiliency which are intimately united during the manufacture of the strip. The softer portions 11, e.g. of sponge rubber, are provided with sealing lips 16 projecting into the channel. The softer material may be in the base portion only of the channel 10 (Fig. 3, not shown).
