1,154,755. Vehicle windows. A. S. THOMSON. 1 March, 1968 [1 March, 1967], No. 9702/67. Heading E1R. The window 1, preferably the rear window, of a vehicle which is fixed in the aperture in the body sheeting 2 of the vehicle by means of a rubber or like grommet 3 is double glazed by securing the edge of a sheet 4 of transparent plastics by means of an adhesive so that portion of the grommet 3 which extends furthest inwardly from the aperture. The adhesive may be an impact adhesive, a double-sided pressuresensitive adhesive tape or transparent polyester material.
