In a motor vehicle body the glass panel 17 is secured by an adhesive strip 29 to a flange 1 forming the window aperture, and a plurality of resilient plastic spacers 5 in contact with the panel are secured to the flange 1 by resilient clips 7 moulded into the spacers. The clips may have a spring arm 13 extending along the flange 3 and biased towards the flange 3 to mount a reveal moulding 31. Intermediate seatings (Fig. 2, not shown) along the flange 3 at the bottom side of the window aperture, for locating the bottom of the panel 17 are moulded on to arms, similar to 13 of spring stradle clips by which the seatings are attached to the flange 1
