Abstract

1,044,153. Oil burners. G.K.N. STEEL CO. Ltd. July 1, 1963 [April 14, 1962], No. 16498/66. Divided out of 1,044,151. Heading F4T. An oil burner comprises a plurality of oil tubes 19, Figs. not shown, diverging from a nozzle 18 and each extending into an oxygen discharge passage 20 and terminating short of the discharge orifice 21 thereof. The oil tubes may extend concentrically along the oxygen passages or they may lead into the oxygen passages through the side walls thereof. The oil pipe 16 supplying the nozzle has two spring- loaded non-return valves 23, 25. The burner is cooled by water circulating in two concentric passages 28, 29.
