Abstract

1,041,238. Shaft couplings. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. July 3, 1963 [July 5, 1962], No. 26308/63. Heading F2U. The radial pressure/generated between conical surfaces 5 by axially movable members 4 for securing together members 1, 2, is increased by applying a thin friction-decreasing layer of P.T.F.E., polythene, a polyamide or other substance providing a friction coefficient below 0À1, suitably, reinforced by net or threads of some substance of a higher resistance, at the conical surface 5 of the axially movable member 4. As shown, a double joint connects two shafts, whilst in Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown) the joint provides a flange-shaft connection, and an internally expanded joint respectively.
