[Also in Division B8] An arm 1, supporting a gripper mechanism 0, Fig. 1 (not shown), is secured to a bracket 21 mounted on the lower end of a cylinder 19 which is rotatable about an axis X-X in bearings 16, 17. The bearings are mounted in a body 14 secured to a circular base 9 which is secured adjustably by units 11 and bolts 10 to a plate 5 which is adjustably secured to a fixed bracket 4 by bolts 6 passing through elongated holes 8 in the bracket. The cylinder 19 constitutes the cylinder of a double-acting fluid pressure ram the piston rod 24 of which is provided with a shaft 27 supporting pairs of rollers 28, 29. The rollers 28 engage in slots 33 in a sleeve 34 secured to the cylinder 19, and the rollers 29 engage in helical slots 36 formed in a sleeve 37 secured to the body 14 whereby, upon actuation of the ram, the cylinder 19, together with the arm 1, is rotated in the bearings 16, 17 about the axis X-X.
