Abstract
1,039,366. Address-printing plates. ADREMA-WERKE G.m.b.H. June 18, 1965 [July 1, 19641, No. 25883/65. Heading B6C. An address-printing plate 3 having its long edges flanged over to form guiding edges has a reinforcing strip 4 inserted in one guide flange 1, one end of which strip is flush with the end 6 of the plate 3 engaged by the feeding devices of the machine. As shown, the strip 4 is the same length as the plate, but it may be shorter than the plate in which case a pressed-in tab 14, Fig. 6 (not shown), on the plate locates the inner end of the strip. In other embodiments, Figs. 2-5 (not shown), the flange 1 is cut away at 7 adjacent to the feeding edge 6, and the strip which may be a doubled-over piece of metal, has enlarged head 10 which abuts against the end of the cut-away part 7. The strip 4 is secured in place by punch marks 11.
